Wowza. That's insane. Nice work! What did you make it in?
Thanks. This was made for the 2011 Calendar, I used 3DMAX 9 with VRAY for the advanced materials
Cool thanks. I should look into that, I've always wanted to do some 3D modeling :P
that looks amazing!
What if you finished rendering it, but then you realized you made a mistake.
How mad would you be?
:3
happened to me a couple of times... :(
thats why 1st I make a render with the 10% of the size to see mistakes (this render takes only 3 minutes) and if everithing is ok, I start The big render
But I had a mistake with Gigantor Moustache, but when the main render finished, I made another render but only in the region of the moustache, and then complete it on Photoshop
fantastic
thanks
did you work from any references or did you just start modeling like some kind of badass
For Gigantor I took some PrtScr of the JohnnyUtah´s animation, and put it on 3dMax to use as reference, to get the most accurate representation of the original drawing. For the Muscles I used as reference pics of Schwarzenegger hahaha.
For Draconius I used the the same metod...without using schwarzenegger pics
Must have taken you one hell of a time to finish this drawing
nice work¡¡
literally took me 2 weeks of fun :D
sweet me likey. any good tutorial websites you recommend?
The best tutorials i ever seen are from "Gnomon Workshop" and "Digital Tutors"
All the tutorials are in video, so is easiest to learn
FUCK YOU
muack!!
Shit man, looks like you could make a sick movie out of that! ;)
I hope to start making my own 3D short very soon :D
Deberias renderisar tu propio ´pene
Como sabias que hago mis renders en .png?
Great work, the NG staff would use these render files for make figurines.
Would be great.
Also, what progra do you use, blender?
Oh yeah, I readed that you can export this meshes to a 3D printer, the minimun cost is like 50$. I should try to make that one day :D
I use 3Dmax
Your art is so good, it scares me....
.....Osuka....are you secretly a robot...that conjures up amazing art? TELL TEH TRUTH!!
Danger, Will Robinson!!!!!!!!
*looks up in wonder*
Someday ill be a great Hoka-...whoops
i mean 3D artist like you XD
You literally created the first thing in that calander thread that is a staple for the finished piece, not only for being badass, but for actually picking reasonably obscure characters, GOOD FUCKING JOB. Also the collar being to tight is my favourite touch.
Hey, you ever thought of creating your own anime series?
looks amazing, i love your 3D stuff! Oh BTW what program do you use?
Shrubs
thats so bad ass, how long did it take?
Osuka
Modeling
-Draconius: 2 Days
-Gigantor: 7 Days
Rendering:
-Draconius: 1 hour
-Gigantor: 7-8 Hours
Draconius was really fast to render because the hair was made with PLANES with hair maps, making it with real hair and fur will take like 5 hours to render. And Gigantor took a long time because the skin had Displacement maps to make the muscles
