Heathen - "Dying Season"

Super awesome thrash metal, blows the shit out of Metallica

Children of bodom, follow the reaper album
Norther. mirror of madness
Kalmah, swamplord alteration

I just thought that my previous suggestion wasn't pretentious enough. I will have another go:

Powersolo: Kat Nazer - this guy's music is impossible to classify to a specific genre, but he is awsome - all things Powersolo is awsome really, and the style varies quite a bit so you don't get tired of it too fast.

Son Of Dave: Old times were good times - Strange mix of blues and club sort of music, nice strange nasal vocal, awsome beatbox and mouth harp.

The Beatles (alternative Paul McCartney): Helter Skelter - the story about this song is that somebody had said that the Who was the heaviest band in the world. So McCartney wanted to do one song that was more noisy than anything the Who had done. And it is DAMN awsome.

Gorgol Bordello: Wonderlust King - Crazy balkan dude plays crazy balkan rock. Crazy fun :D

Patrick Watson: The great escape - very quite, sparse soundscape. Light fragile male lyrics and piano. I think he is great :D and the video is pretty cool.

Kashmir (feat. David Bowie): The cynic - I have been a Kashmir fan for ten years. I suggest anything with Kashmir, but the cynic is a good place to start, their ealier stuff is much more funky and silly however..

Bonnie "Prince" Billy: Beware your only freind - This is country, so concider your self warned, but it is damn nice country, the choir on this track is awsome.

The Blue Van: Silly boy - the first time I heard these guys live I was sold. And live is where they work best, but they are still worth listening to on record.
