AWESOME

Dude, the difference of this work and your previous ones is HUGE. You worked a lot on Materials and Lighting you did a amazing work here

Just for fun, try using deep of field on the camera settings, will help you to get a realistic effect :D

VidGameDude responds:

thanks, its nothing more than a simple tutorial to help me get better so in a sense this isn't my work.

but i thought i would post what i learn from it so yeah...cant take all the credit ^_^

again much appreciated!

I like the design of the character

try adding more advanced textures and lights, look for tutorials to make VOLUME LIGHT, is perfect for this kind of characetrs :)

VidGameDude responds:

Thanks

wanted to try and take a whack at my first robotic and well it was....ok for a bit.

i knew by your standards you couldn't resist to seeing it XD

OMG CASTLE CRASHERS OWNS DISNEY???

That is a game that I surely play ahahahahha

I like the models, but i suggest you to make them in different poses
search for images in the web about some dinamics battle poses, like the fightings in the comics, and they will look epic :D

VidGameDude responds:

wish i could but sadly i cant...

i tried rigging them but failed.

enveloping sucks majorly and so i had no choice but to do it old fashioned pose.
i realized i'd loose style points for the lack luster stances but o wth.

thanks for reviewing it dude its always appreciated above all else.

A little Illusion

The think that i love more of this work, is that the lamp looks like a ovni. Give a feel of Area51 :D

VidGameDude responds:

thanks!

i couldnt have been more happy to find out one day i woke from bed to find out that i had my first scouting!

made my day completely

much appreciated!

Need more work

I like the modeling of the 2 guns, but you must need to work on the materials and add light/shadows, because you are loosing all your modeling work if you dont use this 2 elements

Remember that you need to add elements in the enviroment if you are using Reflecting Materials. In the MAPS of the material,a dd RAYTRACE in the Reflection Slot and you will see the difference :)

VidGameDude responds:

THx dude for your imput as always!

and yes i did rush this a bit cause i had very little time to turn it in.
it was a pop quize for us XP

o btw i finally found a program to texture much better!
(adobe CS3 extended)

thanks again!

Is really cool

I like the Style of this character, I hope you can Start soon making textures for your characters :D

I suggest you to make a library, all the images that you find save it and classify them. Wood, Metal, Hair, Skins. This Image library is your best weapon when you begin making the textures

VidGameDude responds:

Thanks yet again dude your imput is always appreciated!

big problem is i cant make textures because i have no program...
being a modeler is very hard at least when you also are required to make fine detail down to the last bit.

thanks again!

Is looking really nice

I like the character is really interesting, modeling organics is a real pain in the ass XD

You need to fix some details with the proportion, for example is hard so see the elbows. To make a great 3D art you need to get 1st a lot of reference to simulate the real world, try finding pictures of animal parts, for example the claws you get it from lizards and crabs/lobsters. Another example is that longer Spider legs are more creepy and that can help you if you want to make a scary character

My favorite part is the head, I like the head design and the Horns. I cant wait to see this character with Textures and Ligh/Shadows :)

VidGameDude responds:

first off i'd like to thank you for reviewing this!

i looked over the fact the elbows needed to be changed but it kept bending badly so i left it as is.
i also do agree with you that the legs should be longer so support the upper body.
the head was very easy and many people thought it was some kind of Gundam =P.

anyways thanks again for taking time to review my piece!

a suggestion

try using the filter MULTIPLY in photoshop to make more realistic the blood, also look references of stains and stuff

pandabones responds:

Thanks for the pointers, Osuka but generally when I add to things like this with my tablet, going for an unrealistic, almost cartoon-like effect is the point.
