Problems with Newgrounds using Chrome?

Posted by Osuka - November 20th, 2012

Hello, time ago I have been experiencing problems watching Newgrounds when I use Chrome, with Firefox im going great, and with Internet Explorer...is unistalled so i havent cheked there yet.

When im navigating in Newgrounds, 25% of the time I get the "error 324" or the template of the page load incomplete, or looks fucked up. I tried on different computers and I always get the same error, im staring to suspect that is more a problem of the internet service in my city.

I want to know if someone else have been experiencing these problems? or im the Bad Luck Brian of Newgrounds?

Problems with Newgrounds using Chrome?

I've experienced problems with using Chrome myself, and it makes me appreciate Opera a little more.

so im not the only one, I have Opera on my phone and works amazing

nope

I know your feelings, bro. whit Firefox i'm great in Nw, but with chorme...

and you updated the version of chrome?

Spanish Language lol

yeah, all my software are in English, but the OS is in Spanish

It's been a little screwy with me too lately. Can't click any links to peoples names without an error :S

oh yeah, thats annoying, sometime the button to answer PM or reviews dissapears

If you get "Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data" - open IDM and go to menu bar Downloads > Options > General and uncheck the "use advanced browser integration" checkbox.

Voila! Chrome works again. At least for me. No harm to try it and see if this solves your error 324 problem.

YAY FOR TAFE!

still having problems, i cheked in forums :(

I'm guessing you aren't using any "add-ins" or custom browser scripts with google chrome that you could temporarily disable to test if that could be it?

i dont have any addons, and i reinstalled the browser and still the problem appears

So you just break in to peoples houses to use there computers?

haha, no. the other places I tested NG with chrome was in some offices, i have my 3D portfolio here in NEWGROUNDS, so i have to access it all the time to show my render to the clients

Maybe it's because you're in a Spanish/Portuguese speaking part of the world. NG always hated those.

:`(

its cute how people immediately call out the language factor being the cause of the problem.

thats right, the base code is the same for all

I get the same problem as well over here, I usually freak out and think it is a virus cause I had bad luck going on regular sites like facebook awhile back. School just makes me paranoid and junk but at least it isn't like internet explorer, I couldn't even see some of the flash videos when I was using that.

I heard that some flash games lags a lot in chrome

that used to happen to me all the time then it just stopped a few months ago, have no idea how D:

I hope to have your luck, I like Chrome but FireFox is more stable

this has been happening to be alot, i use chrome. i also get a "no data received" page. i can usually get past it after one or two refreshes though. still annoying however.

I have to do that a lot of times :(

been happening a lot for me too.

Seems its a chrome thing, like even youtube is experiencing some issues from what i see on twitter. Atleast our supporter ads look great!

is funnier when the page has an error and the banner of Tom crying appears

Hell yes.Except I feel it happens to me 50% of the time.

glad to know that is the browser and not the page

I've been having horrible issues with Chrome lately, even if I'm using newgrounds. What happens when I load the page, only half of it loads so I reload it and it works just fine, sometimes not at all but I guess it's different for me. Glad to finally know other people get this too ._.

and sometimes pressing refresh button a couple of times doesnt fix it

Ah ha this is a trick question.

The answer is that no one should ever use Chrome in the first place.

*second place, the first worst option should be IE

I actually switched to Chrome about 5 or 6 months ago because flash kept crashing on Firefox, and I haven't had any problems with it. If the page has ever come up like that, refreshing the page takes care of the issue, but I haven't experienced it in a while.

It's because of the internet connection. Trust me. Or maybe if you don't use junk files cleaning programs.

that can be true, connecting the play3 to the internet was a pain in the ass recently
