NG Store Tips for people Outside the USA

Posted by Osuka Sep. 29, 2009 @ 3:27 PM EDT

Hello, sometimes is a bit hard to buy on the NG store if you are outside the US, so Here im going to write about a past experience, I hope this would be usefull to some people

When I won the 2nd place on the MGS Collab, the prize took almost 2-3 months to arrive at my country, and then i needed to go to the main post office, waste half day there to receive my package. Later Tom donated me a Bamboo Tablet (Thanks Again) and I told him my problem with the MAIL, so he sent me by Fedex, but that was expensive. Here in my country we have a limit of 400$ on the credit card for Internet Shopping, so saving some dollars to buy more stuff became a priority.

I found a service of Mailbox on Miami, I make all my orders to arrive on that Mailbox, so the Shipping of 70$ became 10$, and they send me the package to a Mail Office close to the area where I live, and I pay the travel MIAMI-VENEZUELA in my national coin, so im saving more $ to buy more stuff online.

In the office told me that Package with a value higher than 100$, you need to pay 40-60% of additional taxes, so is cheaper to slip the content in more boxes. If your order is like 160$, you will save more money making 2 orders of 80$ each one

For now Im very Busy with a lot of projects

-The Disney Collab by Redharvest, That will be released Soon
-The Marvel Collab by JKAmovies, There are open spots if someone want to join
-A Animation for PIGPEN
-A Animation for Hadouken Dude (I lost a part in my Hard Drive Accident, but this is going to kick ass)

If you know GOOD classical Music in the NG MUSIC PORTAL, write the Link here for the Mindchamber Short Film

Well, im bored now, Im going to chop some trees on Animal Crossing, cheers

You and Mindchamber are working on a "Stop-Motion" animation right?

That takes dedication.

Shit...it must be hard to have stuff delivered to Venezuela.

But makes the final arrival all the while more worth.

Stay chill bro

Fan of your work.

If only you can zap items across the internet. Then people can have things instantly.

Wow, that would be awesome. Or download the content and use a 3d printer to have your product

We need tom to have those series of tubes that they use in Bank Drive in windows and have them go to ever NG users house that way he can just shoot over capsules of merchandise to you.

Sep. 30, 2009 | 12:31 AM Osuka responds:

Hahaha, is a good idea, but knowing part of the users on NG, they are going to use this tubes to send cock stuff and dildos to send them to the NG office. When someone creates something good, a jackass uses it for a bad and stupid purposes. Oh I like the self-destruct instinct of the humans hahaha

The main issue I have in the UK is having to pay customs charge to actually recieve my purchases, usually costing more than what I had paid to get them in the first place. This doesn't seem to apply to prizes though, though it may be depending on the contents or something.

Sep. 30, 2009 | 12:44 AM Osuka responds:

wow yeah, is incredible that the shipping and taxes are more than the value of the product. A time ago I bought 3 books of Miyazaki (60$ in total), paying the taxes here in my country was like 300$

WTF???????????
